Yeah, I guess the more I think about it, the more I think I don't like this album all that much. I love some of these songs, but I don't come back to a lot of them.
Honestly don't have much desire. Especially at the prices they're at right now ($47 after fees for each show). I'd be much more interested to see them live if they were doing a normal show (which I did see them last year when they came to CLE). I'll probably look at tickets closer to the dates to see if anyone is selling them under face value (which typically happens closer to the date) and maybe I'll consider it. My favorite Thursday album is ACBTLD and at this point of my life would rather listen to Common Existence or ND over any of their earlier stuff. I do like Full Collapse a lot, but I don't go back to much of their stuff before ACBTLD.
Going back-to-back nights for me is tough since they're both weeknights and I have kids at home so I'm going to try to go to the WATT show. Saw them play FC back in 2011 when they opened for Underoath and it was great, but since I've seen that performed it makes seeing WATT a bit more of a priority for me. I wish Vein was on the Cleveland date too, but oh well.
1) Marches And Maneuvers vs. Tomorrow I'll Be You 2) Steps Ascending vs. Between Rupture And Rapture 3) Signals Over The Air vs. This Song Brought To You By A Falling Bomb Tomorrow I'll Be You (one of my favorite songs on this album) Steps Ascending Falling Bomb
just listen to their discography - it'll take you like 45 minutes :P their full-length from this year (errorzone) is very solid - definitely one of my favorite heavy releases of 2018. they're opening on the ETID tour right now. check them out!
I like Thursday, but they're not the type of band I'd shell out $100 for on back to back nights on a Monday and Tuesday in the middle of winter. I've seen them live 3 times and also have seen Geoff twice on solo shows so I don't feel like I need to go. If prices come down I'll highly consider it. I follow all these shows on the FB event groups and almost always the day of or day before there are people desperate to unload tickets for cheap bc they can no longer go. Thursday has always been kind of a weird band for me. I LOVE a lot of their discography but also a lot of it is indifferent to me.
I shelled out for both nights. I wish it was focused more on the later material, but knowing it's one of my possible last chances to see one of my favorite bands pushed me over the edge to do it. WATT is what got me into them too and is still very special for me
this is why I didn't hesitate to pay the high ticket prices. Thursday has always been my favorite band and I will see them every chance I can. wen't last year to houston to see them and it was great. really hoping for them to do a new album or more tours or both or anything. I just want more thursday.
I saw an about 30-35 year old mom wearing an ETID shirt at costco and almost posted to see if you and your wife were in austin. I know how much you love ETID and Costco
