The highlight of the entire album is this part: Taxi, starting at 1:35, when everything drops out other than the vocals and the beat/synth in the background All the way through 2:05, when the full guitar is back and you can still hear the OG beat going in the back To 2:10 when he says and - in - the - back seat Not up for debate IMO
Little known fact, but Taxi is the official song of the Taxicab Confessions reboot coming out in 2019.
Bad Behavior (though one!) How Do You Feel? Little/The Sound of Reverie Lovely/Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu
Bad Behavior How Do You Feel? Little/The Sound of Reverie Lovely/Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu the sound of reverie & how do you feel? are my favorite songs on here, and maybe even top 5 in their entire catalog. i can also overlook the alphabet line in black butterflies just for the fact that it makes such a killer live show opener. what what what what what what what what
CURRENT SCORES Bad Behavior: 6 Taxi: 12 ---------- Lonely: 4 How Do You Feel?: 14 ---------- Do You Remember? (The Other Half of 23): 5 Little / The Sound of Reverie: 13 ---------- Don't Come Down: 2 Lovely / Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu: 16
Never quite understood the hype of this album. I mean, sure, it's good. But it's not perfect, and far from the best album by them or any other band. My problems with this album: Too many interludes, and so few songs. It's like they cut the intro from some of the songs or added the interludes just to have more tracks. Many of the songs sound the same, and Bad Behavior is basically English Girls. The following songs aren't really that good anyway: Don't Come Down, Bad Behavior, Taxi, I Only Wanna Talk to You.
This is their best album by such a wide margin that I can’t believe this particular band made it. I like most of the others, but yeah, this one blew me away. I’d mostly written them off after Pioneer and Forever Halloween, and then they made American Candy, which was good, and then they made this, which was great.
I like both American Candy and Black & White better, I'd probably say Black & White is my favorite over all. I would rank them something like this: Black & White American Candy Lovely Little Lonely Pioneer Can't Stop Won't Stop Forever Halloween
Taxi (hate both but this is the lesser evil) How Do You Feel? Do You Remember? (The Other Half of 23) Lovely / Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu Don't care for this album
Lovely Little Lonely Black & White American Candy Can't Stop, Won't Stop Pioneer Forever Halloween That's my ranking. I like about half of Can't Stop and Pioneer. Don't really care for Forever Halloween at all.
Pioneer Can't Stop, Won't Stop Black & White / American Candy (tie?) Forever Halloween Lovely Little Lonely My ranking >:)
Just because a band or a member says they don't like an old album of theirs anymore doesn't make it bad, neither does saying "this is the best stuff we've ever done" make anything better than it is
I’m equally confused by people saying they don’t like this album as I am by people (well @Craig Manning and the people who liked the post lol) saying they can’t believe this band made it. They’ve been so steadily building towards this since Pioneer imo. For me it’s: Pioneer/LLL AC/FH CS,WS B&W
For me, they forgot how to write hooks for two albums. I know people disagree with me on that, but nothing in that middle stretch of their career would have made me think they had this album in them.
You're right, but it is surprising that people would think an album the band doesn't really like is their best. I think they just didn't have as much creative control as they would've liked for B&W. Everyone likes what they like though, and that's fine. I'm one of the few who loved Pioneer.
