misery identify waiting for my sun to shine some days tough choice b/t identify & rock & roll. i like rock & roll a lot, especially the call and response they do with it live, and something about the delivery on the 'asked katie to dance' line has always stood out to me. identify is such a killer opener though, and that bridge is fucking great.

Identify Don't Give Up on "Us" (singles show down, nice) Damn I missed a good round but that’s because I was actually seeing the Maine at Warped Tour so I guess that’s a good trade off (they were so freakin good, best thing about the day and it wasn’t even close. I also got to high five them while they walked to their meet and greet cus I was in line for merch.) Last round went mostly my way, but I probably would’ve gone Thinking Of You > Misery. Underrated imo. I think these two are probably my favorites on the album, so I like where this has gone.
Yeah I mostly feel the same. I liked it a lot when it came out because it was the first sign of their evolution, but in hindsight it’s pretty disjointed and overall just kinda bland. Some Days is a jam and a half though
i can't fathom not remembering this album's closer. also at this point it may be my favorite record by them Identify Don't Give Up on "Us"
I don't dislike any of it, but it's all pretty forgettable to me, especially after spending so much time with their most recent album. It's definitely a transitional album, to me. The first seeds of their new direction were planted here, which is cool in retrospect given how great the last couple albums have been, but I always kind of felt like they lost their ability to write hooks for this album.
