Sounds like self titled era to me with the sing along and catchiness. I love it.

this was one of my favourite bands but i can't get behind this. if it was the original lineup this would be the biggest deal to me but at least i have the old records.

if it’s any consolation the rest of the band gave their blessing to Connor to keep it going. Supposedly some of them were in the audience at one of the recent shows. But yeah, it’s definitely not as exciting

i know the whole story and it's cool they support but they're not a band where you can do that in my opinion. just start a new project.

Not sure how I feel about it. It’s great to hear Connor again but it’s really easy to spot this being a whole new band and all besides Connor. Not that it’s bad because of that it’s just not BNO to me. I’ll wait to hear more before I totally disregard it though.

If this new band can capture the sound that BNO has then I’m all for it given that the rest of the dudes gave their blessing and I just want Connor happy after what he’s gone through.. but this new song ain’t it.

Fingers crossed that whatever they put out next is much better.

Trainwreck show was great. Totally empty place for a Sunday night show. I show they sold out Anaheim Saturday night though so that's cool. Hope the other shows have better attendance than the PHX one did. (Also thought the new song sounded great live)

Pittsburgh show was very sporadically attended. It was a great show. I just have a question for anybody else who’s been to see them on the Trainwreck tour. Did you notice an abundance of “studio magic” being used to recreate the album’s sound? There were times where there were gang vocals and nobody was singing and guitar parts that clearly weren’t being played. I didn’t mind however as I realize how hard it would be to recreate that sound after being together for barely a year. I was just curious if anybody else noticed.

  11. Seeing them tonight so I’ll report back. Curious what they do for the female vocals.

  12. Oh yeah, tons of stuff on backing tracks. All the keyboards, most of the screams, maybe some third guitar parts.

I was bummed to miss them last night, my band had a show. I think being at Jergels didn't help the attendence, I've always seen that as the venue for washed up butt rock bands. The prevalence in backing tracks these days is a bummer.

It was still great, and Connor’s vocals were spot on so I don’t take anything away from them knowing that they have had so little time to mesh together and know the album musically. I hope that if it works out and they continue on, that people will show up for them. It was really cool being at this show with so few people. It was intimate and easy to pick out a great spot for viewing.

And it’s so funny you mention washed up butt rock bands. I saw The Darkness there like two years ago and they were awesome but they definitely better fit the niche Jergel’s is going for.

Definitely some backing stuff going on. The show I was at was maybe 50 people total so it was very obvious. But like others said, it wasn't for the vocals or key instruments. It was more just the moments that they couldn't bring with them live. And Connor sang the female parts on that song and was very up front about butchering them compared to her.

Yea, Pittsburgh was like maybe 100 people. It was a great show though. All the bands killed it.

I took some videos, as usual. Here’s “Composing.” You can find the following also on my channel.
    -Dreaming
    -Purging
    -Relapsing
    -100% Ghosts

  18. Chicago seemed like it sold decently well. Not sold out, but far from empty. Some of that might have been the first Park show in ages though.

It probably didn’t help that the ADTR/YC tour was the same night for Pittsburgh.

supposedly that was pretty empty as well

I don’t know anyone who went to that one. I just assumed, given the venue, there were a lot more than at BNO. My show friends all love Spitalfield, so they were all at BNO.

You really feel the loss of Jeff, Dave and Rob here. I know Connor has been through a lot, and this is healing for him, but the backing band isnt coming close to what BNO was capable of live in 2004.
