Love that he brought some of his Night Game style over.

 

if i heard this in walmart i would of never guessed it was boys like girls.

 

I like it. Big fan of his Night Game project. Hearing some of that in this song.

Well that certainly wasn't what I hoped for. It's not bad but its not good either. Hopes were far to high that it would be a matured sound on their first two albums but it reminds me of music I would hear when I was young at the mall with my mom after school in a department store.

My hopes aren't completely dashed yet because I'm watching the video I took at When We Were Young when they played a new song and its definitely not this song and sounds much better then this one or more like their other stuff, less department store mom rock.

 

I don't even know what department store mom rock is, lol, at this point it would probably be all the emo songs from when I was 15.

 

I've heard some pretty damn good songs in department stores, the rare times I'm there. haha

 

Haha, I can't think of the last time I was in one, but if it's playing 80's inspired rock, I'd be dancing next to the Blink-182 shirt section in Target.

Having only listened to their first album, I had no idea what to expect from this. Surprise, I dig the hell out of it.

 

Big Marianas Trench vibes. I dig it.

 

This sounds enough like the Night Game to keep me happy.

Yeah I watched the video and was like thats not Paul which was weird because he was there for the When Were Young shows and now it says on wiki hes not in the band

Nope, it’s definitely Martin. If you haven’t listened to The Night Game, I can see why you’d be caught off guard a bit as his voice has matured a lot.
