The original post got barely any traction on Reddit and the post that was shared on her subreddit about it was locked by mods, so that didn’t make a whole lot of noise either. I really don’t think she’s even gonna respond to it at this point unfortunately
Her fan base quickly locked it down which is equally disgusting. Some wanted to discuss it but the reddit post in her fandom subreddit was swiftly locked. Yep, they’re tied at the hip. That’s what makes this even worse. She drew this line in the sand for herself and, as of the current state, is not doing what many expect her to do.
Press didn’t even pick it up, probably for lack of spine to lose access to the current indie darling. But it’s mentioned in legal proceedings!

I listened once but I don’t know when I will return. The way the Marshall situation has not been addressed is leaving a sour taste in my mouth, but the situation really did get no traction and for some reason when it was posted about in the Phoebe subreddit for the first time the post got locked not long after leaving no room for word to spread. There was a second post about it in the subreddit but a lot of the comments were casting doubts on the validity of the claim immediately which, Reddit gonna Reddit, but saddened me coming from a subreddit of someone who is a survivor of abuse. You think they would have more care and Grace towards the situation. So to me it’s a “I don’t feel comfortable engaging with the Phoebe fandom at the moment” kind of thing.
Didn’t get enough traction for Phoebe to address it unfortunately. Best case scenario at this point is that she just silently drops him, which we won’t even really know until her next album/tour
I feel a little strange talking about the new music with all of the information people just shared, which was entirely new to me, but I just want to say that "Afraid of Heights" is an absolutely incredible fucking song, and I am someone who kinda hoped this EP would be high energy and them rocking the fuck out. What a fucking song.
