I’m seeing Mt Joy on Friday, and saw Kahan a few weeks back. Both are solid imo

 

I think all the bands/artists I listed are good by the way I was not implying anything negative. Just noticed a lot of ties between those fanbases

 

Mt. Joy is so damn good live.

 

Hozier is actually good though. he has a lot more great songs than Church lol

 

Can’t seem to ever find the original tweet but there’s a tweet from like 2015 that says “*take me to church voice* SHOW MEEEE YOUR BUTT” and it’s real dumb but really makes me laugh

 

not the same thing but enjoy some top tier content

 

my partner and i joke about take me to snurch all the time, so much so that he got me this as a birthday present one year.

Such a great show. They absolutely killed it. They played/revealed the 4th track from the EP, Powers, and I thought it was great. It was a Julien song for anyone that’s wondering

 

So, they aren’t playing boyfriend live anymore, AND it’s not on the EP. I might be actually mad at them.

 

I bet it got picked up for a show or movie.

 

Was it really a good song though? I need to revisit it on youtube or something, only having it heard live that once and I remember thinking it seemed to be sort of a joke song (not in a bad way, just seemed like they just played it for fun)

Ok so I got back to listen to a couple videos of it on youtube, and it sounds like a fun little exercise to perform a punk beat among some of the more mellow material to blast it out and have fun; maybe not a joke song, but still something like a gimmick song for live shows (and still; not in a bad way). I'd be glad to shed some different light on it too if it's ever released as a recorded track

Oh wow time flew by! Based on how fast the show sold out I'm surprised they never added a second night for MSG.

 

They are performing on Colbert tomorrow.
