these shows sold out immediately because they very likely had 90% of tickets available in the pre-sales, which has become pretty standard practice now. hence how they knew they could add a second Boston night right away.
Then why did I have the same exact issue in presale lol. I’m just mad. Guess I’ll be dropping money on Stubhub
This. This is what frustrates me to hell! It happened Wednesday during the initial presale when I saw a floor ticket available for MSG. I got my hopes up all to be told 10 seconds later that someone else had beat me to it.
This show sold out bc bots and scalpers stole a good portion of tickets…take a look at how many are for resale right now…wait till a day or two before the show and there will be tickets closer to face value
Tbh what incentive does TM have to build a better site when they know people will have to keep using them and they have a monopoly anyway? It's such unfair garbage to concertgoers.
They came on almost an hour after carly rae jepsen who played before them and my feet could not hack it. Had to tap out early. I need orthopedics if we're gonna have longer than half an hour between sets!
I remember waiting a really long time for BOCC, I missed the last subway and had to take an Uber to my car.
They did have someone from I presume a local tribe (not as familiar with the tribes in Washington state and it was hard to hear sometimes) come out and talk about how we're on native land and played a song on his flute which was awesome and I thought they'd come on soon after that and it was still a while It also made me laugh cause the girls in front of me would scream and cover their mouth in shock whenever boygenius played another song and it's like... they only have an album and an ep. Odds are they're gonna play the song lol. It was cool to see the shift in crowd demographics between the last time I saw them and now.
The Vancouver show had Carley’s set from 6:45 to 7:35 and then Boygenius were supposed to start at 8:30 but started closer to 8:20. There was a few food trucks around. There was one merch stand that had sold out of all the Boygenius stuff before Carley started. Wild for the first show of tour.
It’s taken me a week to comprehend that I went to Red Rocks for this tour and it was absolutely worth it.
It’s only a bit telling that every cis, straight man I know with any shred of scene cred is nowhere to be found at any of these shows now.
