Ok boygenius, fine, I GUESS I’ll chant “always an angel, never a god” at your next show

 

First time they’ve really sounded like a band writing a song together. Nice one!

 

Oh, they coming to Copenhagen :D

 

That new song is great

 

Not Strong Enough is among the best songs any of them have released, individually or as a group.

 

I'm genuinely obsessed with it

Was my album of the year by a country mile and travelled down to London to see her

So excited to see her with Boygenius in Halifax (Just wish that Muna were coming up as well)

 

$50 to see them in Copenhagen, thank you!

 

Just went to Copenhagen for the first time in my life to see DCFC and I think I paid a bit less! Albeit, still glad to get that EU leg of the tour, the prices are simillar in each country, some of those are festivals too, so I'm probably less likely to pick that (despite some of them sharing the bill with Snail Mail or Turnstile and more; the budget to see a mainstream festival in the west is perhaps too heavy for me at the moment ;d)

 

I’m a huge Phoebe fan and I’ve been diving into the rest of Boygenius to prepare for Coachella and Re:Set and wow I’ve been sleeping on Lucy. Historian is incredible. Julien still doesn’t click for me though.

 

Honestly, I think seeing boygenius on their first tour is my biggest bragging rights show. Every time I think about it I’m like damn…. I was there

 

And do you think when they finished recording Not Strong Enough they looked at each other and we’re just like wow we just created one of the best songs of all time, good work everyone? Like how do you just chill after that??

 

It was such an amazing show! Back then I didn’t really know Lucy and from that show on I became a huge fan.

 

haven't been able to stop thinking about Not Strong Enough for days. finally put in my little preorder today. can't wait

 

The boygenius shows are still my favorite shows I’ve ever been to

 

Watching them do "Ketchum, ID" unamplified, then seeing it on YouTube again once I got home an hour later, was quite a moment.

 

Still forever thrilled we got a cover of "Cowboy Take Me Away" at my date on their first tour.

Pretty sure that's also the tour where Marshall and Phoebe tried to duet "You Missed My Heart" and Phoebe couldn't stop laughing so she made Marshall leave the stage lol

 

Yep, that was the Seattle show right? We were both there and didn't even know it lol

I went to the Smidley show tonight and Lucy’s guitarist Dominic Angellela opened the show and I talked to him afterwards and he was telling me that he’s heard the entire boygenius record and it’s pretty incredible, which has me even more hyped than I already have been.

 

these global listening events are the new thing huh
