I was kinda hoping they’d do the same style show that Andrew McMahon did with the pen & paper tour. No openers, just artists that come in and out throughout the night with collabs sprinkled in. So well done. I want that to be the new normal.
Also, while an EP where they each take 2 songs to lead on would be perfectly ok with me, I’d love for the remaining 3 unreleased songs to have the lead vocals shared where they each get a verse or something like that so we don’t necessarily just go “oh this is Julien’s song, this is Phoebe’s, and here’s Lucy’s”. But I’m just grateful for anything, really.
Yep, that round gave me a feeling that reminded me of the last Staves album (which is a huuuuge compliment to me).
So happy more people will discover Lucy because of this. Historian remains a top 5 record of this for me and No Burden is amazing too
sounds like there's a hint of distortion or something in Lucy's vocals towards the end of "Bite the Hand" right before it gets quiet and fades out. It sounds awesome. Anyone else hear it?
Lucy is amazing and I’m very happy that this will get more people into her. 3 people in front of me at line for a Hop Along show tonight were talking about this. Made me happy.
The UK variant is actually different vs US version, if anyone is into that sort of thing. Bummed that they aren’t playing anywhere near me, wish they were selling a shirt with the preorder too
all three are amazing. me and my dog is my favorite after first listens but phoebe bridgers is also probably my favorite new artist of the past couple years.
