dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet, from Matadors website: "Baker and Bridgers will hit the road in North America this fall for a co-headline tour, with Dacus opening. Each artist will play her own individual set of tunes, but fans just might be able to hear some boygenius songs along the way – though that’s another rumor we can’t yet confirm. The tour kicks off at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on November 4th, and hits major markets in the Northeast, Midwest, and West Coast, culminating at The Wiltern in LA on November 30. The full list of tour dates, as well as each individual artist’s itinerary, can be found below." So its being advertised as a Julien / Phoebe co-headline with Lucy opening
I don’t understand that. boygenius is a trio that Lucy is a pet of so she should be part of the co-headliner, not be an opener. It just seems a bit unfair to Lucy because while Julien May be the most popular, all three are not that much apart in terms of popularity.
What do you mean? Lucy actually has more Spotify followers than Julien and only about a little less than 400k less than Phoebe (who has a million probably helped due to being in the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack). I am not sure what is untrue about what I said.
Phoebe Bridgers isn’t selling out 1000 cap venues either though. I’m just not seeing why if they are a trio only two of them are being considered headliners.
I know that. I was just saying since they are a trio it would make sense for them all to get headliner status. That’s all.
Is there a reason why the tricolor variant is more expensive for the preorder? Do we know if it comes with anything else bundled? Most vinyl preorders I’ve known always sell their colored and black variants at the same price point, regardless of limited pressing.
Like I said, I haven’t known that to be the case. I can probably go back down the list of the last 10 copies of colored vinyl I’ve purchased and I know they for sure weren’t higher in price. Can’t say they never are more expensive, but this is the first time I’ve stopped to consider it in recent memory, so it sort of feels like the first time I’ve seen that lol. Anyway, we are blessed. Praise hands to these wonderful people and their beautiful artistry!
For some reason I felt like that with her first album. I tried and I tried but it didn't click. Her second album blew me away and is among my favorites of all time. I hope that one day the first one will resonate. We'll see! Anyone have any thoughts on the first that might make me see it a little differently?
idk i'm a big fan of the first and couldn't get excited about the second so i'll be of no help whatsoever
