Lucy and Julien really got drowned out in that mix but damn Phoebe killed it.

 

would probably have been a good idea to go with a song they all sing lead on, but i'm not complaining, love this song and woke up wanting to listen to it

After my fourth watch I'm now realizing that Seth Meyers calls her "Phoebe Bridges" in the intro.

 

My feelings. I was a bit annoyed that you couldn’t hear them and then Phoebe at the end blew me away and I was like “I’ll let the sound person off this one time”, ha!

 

I'm finally diving into this, and what is with how this is catalogued on Spotify? So annoying.

 

Just watched the performance and my husband said it sounded “awful.”

Soooo if anyone knows of any decent gay bachelors in the Boston area lmk because I’ll be divorced by the end of the week.

 

I wasn’t super impressed either.. and I love the EP.

 

The mix was awful, but I thought they still sounded really good.

 

Yeah I mean they sound great, it’s the mix that’s off.

Oh my god the show tonight was amazing! Seriously I love Julien and Phoebe but I would be absolutely fine with them ditching their solo careers to pursue BoyGenius full time. That final set was probably one of my most memorable live music experiences.

Also I waited until the end of the show to to hit the merch table and they were all sold out of the boygenius tee : (

I’m gonna try to get to the Toronto show as early as possible for merch reasons.

 

Also forgot to mention Julien's new rendition of Sour Breath is amazing. Gives me high hopes that she's gonna be experimenting with her sound more on the next record.

 

She is, she said she wants to change up her sound on her next record in a recent interview she did.

 

so what time do they go on and like... how is this formated?

 

This EP just sounds so rich and fulfilling. Every note, pitch, inflection, word sung - it all feels intentionally placed and carefully thought about, but it also always feels organic, as if they are sitting in the room playing right next to you. It's the sound of musicians who are beginning to fully realize their potential.

 

All shows will look something like this. The times obviously won't be the same the AMOUNT of time seems to be accurate based on the shows that have happened already.

7:30-8:00 p.m.: Lucy Dacus
8:20-9:15 p.m.: Phoebe Bridgers
9:35-10:35 p.m.: Julien Baker
10:45-11:15 p.m.: boygenius
