Ehh, I was super die hard for her but her new album seemed one note and formulaic to me. Some great songs on there, but only half does it for me. Also don't feel too compelled for whatever reason to go back to her first much. I think she'd improve with some more color/instruments, like some of the songs on here!
I am obsessed with Julien and every time she does the passionate shout kinda delivery I just die inside. Like her stuff seems so simple but also too brilliant for me to ever be able to write it
I had this on repeat for hours at work yesterday. Took a break for some Copeland. ...aaaaand now it's back on.
Yea I’m wondering if we will see a couple songs during each of their sets, if they will all come out during Julien’s set, or if they will do an encore at the end. Will they play them all? I really hope so. I got my record yesterday and it was so beautiful to listen to it last night.
For the cities they are doing multiple shows in, do you think they will switch up the sets each day? I want to know because I may go to the second night in Chicago too.
Have you got tickets? Both nights sold out. Also my vinyl came today! Was under the impression it was a 7 inch for some reason so was very pleasantly surprised when I opened the package haha.
Someone has a ticket for the second date they are unable to use that they would sell to me. Edit: I also have a ticket to night one, I was asking the question because I am considering (likely) going both nights.
My vinyl finally came in! Lucy stands out to me as the best part of the EP. I’m so glad she was a part of this, but I don’t know if I’d discover her this year without boygenius
First show was last night. There's a bunch of IG videos in here if anyone is interested: Boygenius (Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, & Lucy Dacus) Play Their First Show: Watch Was anyone there? What's the merch situation like? Did they make any boygenius merch?
