Thanks for the suggestions everyone, will try some of these out for sure! I'm staying in Medford but hoping to explore all the main places in Boston while I'm there.
We have a good aquarium if that’s your thing. Medford is right by Encore if you wanna hit the tables, too.
Night Shift Brewing has a taproom in Everett right over the river from Medford and is a cool spot for beers Also, it's kind of a cheesy tourist thing but the Duck Boat tours are fun and a great way to get a full tour of the city and the guides are great. It runs out of the Science Museum, which is also a cool place to go
best straunts on the medford side of the river that i've been to imo: giulia oleana/sarma row 34 (they just opened one in cambridge, i assume it's as good as the original in the seaport) posto rosebud makes a fun bfast but is expensive depending on where you are in medford, you might be walkable to dave's fresh pasta for lunch, insanely good sandwiches thirding the night shift rec. i also like cambridge brewing company a lot, and lamplighter
remember when it used to be $2 after like 9pm? There was a period of time where maybe wednesdays were half priced apps and they still had the post dinner time burger deal, my roommates and I would go almost every week haha. They told me they stopped because they realized it was essentially working out to paying people to come in and eat.
Lol yeah they haven’t had the best business acumen over the years, but man can they toast a bun just right.
you should definitely check out davis square in somerville if you're going to be in medford, it will be pretty close - lots of great restaurants and places to get a drink! davis specific recs: - seconded Daves fresh pasta for sandwiches listed above - posto is great but $$$ - the saloon in davis has some fun cocktails and vibes - dakzen is amazing cheap thai street food, and revival next door is my fav coffee place - elm street taproom and foundry on elm are both great for beers and if you're down to check out more of somerville, union square is equally awesome - bow market has several drink/food options (remnant brewing, rebel rebel wine bar) - union square donuts are ++ and gracie's ice cream is ++++ and from above I second lamplighter, giulia, sarma I somerville lol
Tons of good stuff around Davis Square. Dragon pizza is fantastic lots of unique specialty pizzas and one of my favorite spots when my friends had an appt in Davis. Diesel is a good spot for quick coffee/breakfast. And I second Rose Bud just in general. Who doesnt wanna eat at an old lunch car diner? Also not in Davis, but if you're looking for delicious vegetarian/vegan food in Cambridge then hit up Veggie Galaxy
Posted this in the band thread, but selling two tickets to see Thrice on Friday at HoB. I can't make the show due to a conflict and want to make sure that someone can enjoy these in my place
Selling a thrice ticket for tonight in Boston. GA pit and I’ll go below face value, ready to transfer etc
reminds me of when I tried selling my thrice ticket for that venue a couple years back… nobody bit on it and I lost all the money on it.
