That was the best venue in Boston, no contest. Only very recently has any other venue passed that one in shows I've seen there, and it's been closed for years.
Lived in Cambridge for two years. Best two years of my life. Few thoughts: - The Cookies n Cake Batter Flavor (or any flavor, really) at JP Licks has no worthy rival in all of the US. Place is heaven. - Anna's Taqueria and Boloco in the same city was a thing of dreams. Never even considered Chipotle. - Beer and pizza at Mike's in Davis Square is life itself. - Watching movies at the Somerville Theater in Davis: also life. Can't believe Louis CK played 3 surprise dates after I was gone. - Davis Square > Harvard Square > Kendall Square > Porter Square - Always loved departing or arriving at South Station. Especially NYC weekend trips. - Grouplove at The Sinclair and The Head and The Heart at Royale were probably two of the favorite shows I've been to. - I loved winter storms and getting snowed in. - Biking Mass Ave from Newbury Street all the way to Harvard Square. Miss it everyday. - McKinnon's at Davis Square had the best beat selection for ridiculously good prices. - All supermarkets in the US are Shaws to me. Also Market Basket was awesome. - I lived right on Cambridge Street by Harvard Yard my second year. Crossing Harvard Yard from the T to get home never got old. - Loved a cup of coffee at The Thinking Cup. That's enough I guess, could go on forever
Wow I forgot so many people live around here. And more I didn't even know. This was a better idea than I realized
I sat 3rd row center for the first Louis CK show at Somerville. The majority of the material was the same as his Comedy Store special, but some of it was stuff he was working on for the last season of Louie.
I remember when Pete Wentz said a "What's up Boston" at the Honda Civic tour years ago, I was in the 5th row and yelled "we are in Mansfield, Wentz." Boston is like and hour the other way khed.
or how at every Patriots game they show clips of Boston, even though they're closer to Providence haha
Or how someone who is from Springfield tells people they are from Boston. No you aren't you Western Mass moron! (No offense to anyone that is from Western Mass in the forum.) I have some friends that I can't stand when they say that and they live in fucking Fitchburg. STFU fool.
