Y'all this blizzard is too much, literally the top of this thread to today is a prime example of New England weather and I am not about it. This is my first winter back in MA from AZ, like this is not the warm welcome I wanted!

Also I haven't been in this thread for too long but I want to confirm that Veggie Galaxy rules. Me and my lil bro have spent way too much money there haha

I'll be at NFG tomorrow and Friday this week. Then Andrew McMahon next Saturday, and John Mayer the next night. Then I don't think I have any shows till August or so!

My friend and former drummer just started a YouTube channel geared towards the local music scene. He just posted episode 2 and I was the guest. Figured I'd share. He's still getting started but should be a good thing to keep your eye on if you're interested. The interview contains 3 songs but he separated those out to their own individual videos as well.

 

Can anyone give me some quick recommendations for restaurants and bars? (Preferably lax ones with good beer?) I'll be here all Memorial day weekend and staying on Milk street in (i think) the Financial District

 

Go to the Seaport. Place is crawling with good places.

When you say lax, you talking low-cost or?

 

If you want some good breweries go to Night Shift or Harpoon

I'll give more recs when I'm not driving on the Pike

 

Actually Friday only night I'll be in Seaport. Will probably get there later at night and hit up harpoon. Then trillium in the morning before we go to our air bnb on Milk

By lax I meant more like sit and chill and drink good beer as opposed to like clubby or collegey

 

Depends where you are on Milk Street, but if you're close, Bostonia Public House is a nice place to sit and drink, especially if they have the top floor open.

 

Trillium is fucking amaZing. Have you been to Boston before

 

I like Coda in the South End a lot. Very chill place, the steak frites are phenomenal

Oh! On Milk St I really like Central Wharf. Great food, reasonably priced, good drink selection.

 

Also Solange dropped off Boston Calling and is getting replaced with Migos lol

 

Bumming hard about that. I was pumped for her.

 

Yeah I mean Migos will be real fun but I was betting on her having maybe my favorite performance of the weekend
