Yup. The show was delayed a bit due to the wind coming off the ocean (part of that weird storm that never came through), but it didn't cut their set short or anything.
Anyone else going to further seems forever tonight? I'm flying solo tonight. Might head to sunset cantina for a drink first.
Sorry for multiple posts in a row. There's maaaaaybe 100 people here for FSF. Kind of surprised, but the venue didn't advertise the show much. Don't feel like the band did either, though.
If anyone is in the Worcester area tonight, my brother's band is playing at Ralph's Diner. Doors are at 9pm, its 21+.
Picked up tickets for The Bronx show at The Sinclair and SYG at Brighton Music Hall. Pumped for both of those shows.
Gonna be in Cambridge/Boston on Saturday. What are the good food places to hit up for lunch and dinner?
If it fits your schedule I'd make it a point to go to Alden & Harlow in harvard square at 5 for their burger. It's incredible but supposedly it runs out in the first hour on the weekend. If you're not sticking right in cambridge, row 34 in the seaport is great too, or Sweet Cheeks in the Fenway area. Absolute favorite quick lunch spot is Dave's Fresh Pasta in Davis Square. It's just a counter but the sandwiches are awesome.
Thanks! Alden and Harlow is actually right around the block from where I'll be so I'll definitely make it a point to try to get there.
So difficult to choose best places unless you're limiting to a particular neighborhood/type of food, but for burgers my fav is probably Boston Burger Co (main location in Davis Square, with another near Harvard Square). Favorite pizza is probably Stoked (restaurant in Brookline, though they started as a food truck), and Ernesto's in North End. Favorite places downtown are probably JM Curley (American) and Fajitas & Ritas (Tex-Mex). Parish Cafe has great sandwiches in Back Bay. If you're a beer fan, Lord Hobo and Cambridge Brewing Co are two great restaurant/bars in the Kendall area of Cambridge for craft beer. Sorry these recommendations are all over the place, just some of the first places that came to mind haha
I'll second Parish, my go-to lunch place when I'm downtown. If you're looking for something a little less casual, I really like Cafeteria but it's nothing AMAZING. All the other recs are great here too. Hit up Toscaninis for some ice cream if you have time too!
when I was living in the Mission Hill area this was 100% my favorite place, I was kind of assuming you wouldn't be in this area (since there's not much of a reason to be except work/school) but if you are, Penguin and the nearby Squealing Pig are both excellent.
Sold the tickets on stubhub. Yeah I'm sad I can't go either. I couldn't get the day off or leave work early. Oh well.
Not a Boston question, but my friend and I are heading to Mansfield early for the blink show and were going to grab lunch somewhere nearby. Any suggestions?
Parish makes fucking amazing sangria - never really ate there, it was just a go-to "midnight on 21st birthday" place penguin pizza is literally jesus. i go to or order delivery from there once or twice a week :/
I'm so pissed I can't go to the show. I couldn't get the day off from work or leave early, so I had to sell my tickets
Wish I was at blink tonight. My roommate went and I basically had a choice between lawn seats there or Six Flags tomorrow. I chose six flags
