Man, the heroin problem all around Mass is out of control. Another person from my hometown gone.

 

If there's any Sia fans out there, Mix 104.1 is hosting a Mix Lounge (a private mini concert), and is giving away tickets all weekend. Going to try and get in!

 

How about BBQ? I've always been partial to Red Bones in Somerville.

 

Blackstrap in Winthrop. So damn good, and they have burnt ends.

 

@quietwords Blackstrap sounds delicious, but I doubt I'll ever get there.

 

For Boston proper the best I've had is Sweet Cheeks in the Fenway area. It's more of an actual restaurant though so it's pricy. With a car (and some time to kill) BT's in Sturbridge absolutely blows every Boston bbq joint out of the water and is right on the way to Tree House brewing. Also a fan of blackstrap and blue ribbon in Newton.

 

Seriously. My hometown has been hit hard by this. My best friends brother a couple of years ago, my cousin last year, and countless others.

A kid I grew up with passed over the weekend and I'm not sure why. It's sad because that's the first thing that comes to mind.

I dunno what can be done to help but I hope something

 

Same. Haverhill is getting rocked right now. Sure it's bad other places too.

 

Yea, I'm originally from down in Plymouth. That area and the cape have been pretty brutal for it.

Looks like because of my pending move and lack of funds, I cannot attend The 1975 concert this Wednesday. I am the saddest 32 year old in Boston at the moment.

 

BT's is fucking amazing. My dad and I usually hit Tree House first, fill up and then head to BT's for lunch. I think I need to go there this weekend!

 

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed to be missing the 1975, too. Just too expensive at the moment... I entered a few contests to win tickets but I'm guessing I didn't win

 

I forgot the show was Wednesday. It really snuck up on me.

 

Can't wait! Except I have been sick all week and I hope that doesnt ruin it

 

Tickets aren't too pricey on stubhub... I keep checking, but I just think I need to miss this one. Ugh...
