this is the last thing i needed this week. locked in studying anyway, now leaving is even harder and more shitty
I'm heading to slightly better weather Saturday- flying down to Virginia Beach for a wedding. Flight leaves Logan at 7AM... planning on getting there by 5:30. Ughhh
coming up at the end of June for a day. any suggestions on what to do? I've been to Harpoon and a few bars but not much else.
Current Schedule: 5/31 - Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties, The Sinclair 6/14- Taste of Chaos, Blue Hills Bank Pavillion 7/15- Modest Most/Brand New, Xfinity Center 8/19- blink 182, Xfinity Center
I was debating on Piebald but I waited too long. That'll be a blast I bet. I saw Explosions open for Death Cab last year and thought they were awesome live. Thanks for the heads up! I will definitely utilize that, as you can see by this message. Yea, we're in Woburn for the same reason. I'm not much of a city person anyways, but Woburn was an affordable option. We're looking to buy a house at some point so I'm not sure where we'll end up ultimately but it'll do for now.
A little bit of a plug here, but if anyone is going to the Vinnie Caruana show at the Mid East on 6/7, my band is opening the show. If you're there early, come say hey!
I'm really excited about Piebald, I caught their one-off show at Bamboozle a few years back but this will be my first time seeing them headline. Super excited about Explosions too, been listening to them for a long time but never got the chance to see them. I loved living in the city for college, but yeah it just wouldn't have worked out to stay there. It's still close enough though, accessible by MBTA and (somewhat expensive) Uber.
the seaport is getting pretty nice, the Institute of contemporary art is there and is dope, its walking distance from harpoon. so many breweries and stuff around to check out. the fenway area is a lot of fun too even if you dont care about baseball or there isnt a game, bleacher bar looks right into the outfield which is cool no matter what imo
awesome. I care about baseball and she's a big red sox fan even though she's never been to boston. thanks! edit: just looked for tickets and they're not playing that weekend. bummer.
night shift will remain my #1 boston rec but i can also get very behind walking around the seaport + harpoon + eat at row 34
Harpoon pretzels >>>>> Also Trillium is cool, and Jack's Abbey if you want to drive away from the city
Trillium is awesome; you just can't drink there. One of my roommates is obsessed with Jack's Abbey and I don't understand it.
Oh right on! There's a whole lot to love about it for being so small. I'm right in the heart and couldn't be happier.
yeah I have enjoyed every JA beer I have tried. Visited the brewery the other week and it was great, especially the arugula pizza
