I'm convinced that this will be this band's breakthrough song into the rock mainstream. Everything from the production, to the massive hook, to Jon's feature... to that bridge that feels totally fresh for them. They really took the hit potential of "Welcome to the Neighborhood" and amped it up to fucking 11.
John was very underused, imo. Him and Henry's voices are so similar, it feels like unless John was screaming there's no point in using him.
I actually disagree, I think John still provided enough of a contrast vocally, especially in the final chorus where he’s singing on top of it. I also don’t think his old screaming style would’ve fit a song like this.
The new single is good. Would definitely fit very well on Welcome to the Neighborhood. Looking forward to Jon’s solo record as well.
I actually really love John’s feature with more listens. The subtle contrast in their voices is really tastefully utilized, and that final chorus where they’re both singing is a hell of a earworm.
Anyone out there still listening to this album? I smell a hypocrite, I smell a snake You're a liar and a cheat I want my money I want you dead you fake! ^fuck me uuuuup^
This band just keeps getting better. Welcome to the Neighbourhood was such a step up on their back catalog... this is gonna be such a good record. side note, why do I always see new posts for new albums posted in the old album thread? I’m totally not trying to pick on whoever posted the song here, it happens a lot! Lol
At work, so didn't get the chance to make a new thread, but just thought I would post it in here, until I get chance to make a thread / someone else does.
I think I'm in the Minority that prefers the more pop punk style of the first album. Good for evolving, I just can't get into the change in sound.
