These guys really deserve to be on an arena tour. These songs beg to be played in massive reverb-laiden rooms. If they weren't touring at the same time I'd say they'd belong on TØP's fall tour.
Never listened to these guys, but they popped up in my Discover Weekly on Spotify and I dug it. And then I remember some people on here talking about them. Album is really dope, surprised they're classified as pop punk. Seeing as people are saying they give off Brand New vibes (I feel it), is this also a case of Brand New where they started off super pop punk-y and now have really evolved?
Their last album (their debut) was sorta emo/post-hardcore infused alternative. Very similar to this just with lower production value. Defnitely some pop-punk influence, but more on the Citizen/Movements/Trash Boat side than Neck Deep/State Champs.
I'd say their last album was definitely pop punk/emo and the new one is much more alt rock/emo oriented.

Can't wait for the Birmingham date. Microwave are main support and not only are they fantastic on record, but they are one of the best live bands this scene has produced in years.
This record still holds up. Playing it now and I still enjoy it. I still don't understand why lots of ppl seem to hate it...
I loved this album when it first came out, but I sadly am not returning to it much these days. It’s not holding up for me
Still mostly holds up for me. I've played it a few times lately even bought the vinyl on black Friday.
I'm starting to hear "Halo" on the alt radio stations (Alt 93.3 Minneapolis mainly) & I'm so proud of BM tbh.
Been into this sorta darker pop punk sound that these guy did on their early records lately so I decided to check this album out finally and I’m really not feeling it. Feels like pretty generic radio rock imo
Give it a few more listens. I actually think that despite the pop sensibilities, this second LP is a lot bleaker than Be Nothing. Their lyrics are darker and some of the tracks on there (Welcome to the Neighbourhood, Flowers in Your Dustbin, Hate You, Stick Up and the creepy interlude right before it, etc.) have little winter-ish riffs that are really cool. Production is both really clean and really cold at times. I like both LPs equally now !
