Boston Manor have a dad hat for Be Nothing (their first record) but it doesn't look like they have more than one.
so this whole album tells a story that takes place in blackpool, England. Supposed to be a pretty dark story and the cover art goes with the story. thats all i got for you
Really like this album. I know they're already getting big in the UK and the US(which is rare enough for a UK band) but I could see them getting very popular with this album.
Saudade is a solid ep. After this new album I'm realizing I'm actually a pretty big fan of these guys overall. I've enjoyed all of their output.
The only thing I don't like from these guys is the very first EP. I saw them on their first EP supporting Moose Blood in like 2014 or something and they were pretty terrible. It's amazing how far they have come.
Here/Now and Driftwood are both pretty terrible to me now, especially Here/Now. Saudade is alright but I like Be Nothing a lot more so I never listen to it.
Yeah record is awesome! Really happy with the direction they went in. Was the right call to work with Sapone.
100% the right decision to make. I know that they are/were massive fans of Brand New and I definitely think this is their attempt to move in that direction.
Overall really like this, the middle stretch of songs from England’s Dreaming onwards is excellent, tempted to go to the London gig now, need to try and budget this somehow aha
I opened this thread to see if anyone else thought that record had a Brand New-ish feel, haha. It's pretty good and I'm sure it's going to grow on me, everything is super effective and well-written. I would have enjoyed Be Nothing part 2 as well. It's a good year for british pop-punk, Trash Boat's record was pretty great too.
