Very excited for this Mike Sapone produced record. This band blends Alt Rock/pop punk/ and hints of emo very nicely on their debut. It seems from the last two songs that they have released that they may be leaning in a more darker alt rock direction. The first single is very good and has me excited for the record. 1. Welcome to The Neighbourhood 2. Flowers In Your Dustbin 3. Halo 4. England's Dreaming 5. Funeral Party 6. Digital Ghost 7. Tunnel Vision 8. Bad Machine 9. If I Can't Have It No One Can 10. The last album was so good. This band also kill it live and I'm excited to see them again in a months time.
I'm a fan, although the previous song is better in my opinion. This chorus doesn't hit quite as hard for me.
yea, interesting that song isn't on the record. Actually makes sense though they sound like they were recorded in different sessions. I love the verse to this song, i think the chorus is just alright. The guitars sound huge here though which makes me hopeful for the rest of the album.
Never really got into this band but after hearing this single I've been spinning Be Nothing and really enjoying it.
Had Halo on earlier. Great song. They were fantastic at 2000 Trees and me and my girlfriend bought tickets to see them in Birmingham at a venue called Mama Roux, a New Orleans themed venue and burlesque club that I saw The Hotelier at once. It's not until October but I'm hyped.
Well, this is absolutely fantastic. Definitely doesn’t just feel like a retread of their debut. Really great use of atmosphere and subtle electronic elements throughout, and the hooks are MASSIVE.
It’s honestly not *that* heavy of an album, there are great crunchy guitars as typical of Sapone, but few songs are that heavy all the way through... it’s more focused on the atmosphere and great hooks. I’d say Flowers In Your Dustbin, England’s Dreaming, and Bad Machine all have sections that get relatively heavier.
Yeah that’s what I meant cause on the first album they have songs like Laika and Burn You Up that get heavy in parts but aren’t heavy all the way through. I’m excited for Bad Machine tomorrow though.
