That "rumor" came from a DJ on SiriusXM (AltNation) talking about the show. I'm guessing they jumped the gun given that the line-up comes out in t-minus 45 minutes or so... We have Rage!
Thanks. I dont have satellite radio. Sounded legit, based on what Ive read about them. Winding down now.
Yeah, Festive Owl is pretty accurate most of the time. They hedge their bets a lot. I'm still winding up. Guessing there's artists from other genres rounding up the top three lines, but I'm still pretty hopeful that we get a strong undercard. Getting work done in the next 40 minutes is going to be a challenge.
Of course the day Rage is playing the undercard is wildly underwhelming, and the other two days have GREAT undercards.
The website has the my chemical romance logo on the main page Edit: It’s gone now but it was in the place of the sunday slot now
Not bad. Better than I was expecting and underwhelming at the same time. I'm going to sit on this for a bit and see if I think the ticket price is worth it... I felt for sure that when the time came, I'd say that $400+ for Rage, Foo Fighters, and whoever was on the undercard would be worth it. And there's a lot that I like on here (Run the Jewels, Dinosaur Jr., Pup, Andrew W.K., PVRIS) or that I'd be curious to check out (Jason Isbell, Brittany Howard, Orville Peck, Angels & Airwaves, RJD2, Camp Blood)... But I dunno. That is a lot of money.
Also I know the MCR logo has no relevance as I should’ve taken a screenshot, but I’m just confused as to why it was there
Where on the site did you see that? Maybe it was just something in the background that looked like the logo?
It was under the Saturday lineup and the Sunday lineup wasn’t even there, instead just a picture of the linked my chem logo in its place. And I think only like 50ish bands are announced https://images.app.goo.gl/dZ6dFTSWShNw4VKT6
Strange! That feels like an odd programming error or something... Makes me wonder if they were on the bill and dropped off or something. I don't think so. The poster doesn't say "more TBA" anywhere and when you count up all of the acts (including the comedians) it adds up to like, ~65+ artists including the headliners. So either there's more to come and they aren't hyping it (unlikely) or they got sneaky this year and included the stand-up comedians in the "60+ artists" that were going to be announced.
Friday: awesome that it’s Foo... only heard of (though, haven't listened to) 3 others on the card. Saturday: honestly haven’t heard a single other band on Saturdays card other than RATM. Sunday: best full card, but thinking about trying to leave there afterwards and driving home for an early next morning... ugh
