it's a shame this is coming out through amazon, i think i would've otherwise been excited to check it out. been awhile since i returned to the first one but i'm sure it would still evoke some huge gut laughs after this long.

must admit no other SBC project has done it for me though i did enjoy the small clips of the recent tv show he did

 

The theatrical experience of the first one in college was an all-timer. People yelling at the screen when the nudity ramps up. Gasping at some the racist statements from people like the rodeo guy.

Totally agree that I wish we could get the same experience with this. But by the time the pandemic is over, it might feel dated (maybe).

Budget for Click: $82.5M

both were pretty big hits

It’s a weird statement, right? I think it’s that Borat was phenomenal and didn’t do as well as a bad big budget A-list comedy, which... duh.

yeah i mean, it doesnt seem crazy that an Adam Sandler comedy would do better financially than Borat, and I don't think those numbers should/do take away from the greatness that was Borat. I'd bet more people today would remember Borat than Click anyway. a dumb tweet for sure lol

 

I honestly don't remember much about the first one, or if I even liked it at all. Should I give a shot and revisit that one, or just jump into this one?

 

idk why but this specifically gets me more pumped for it haha

 

Seth Rogen has pretty great taste in comedy. I know he was an Ali G writer early in his career, so he has a soft spot for SBC, but still. This is all the praise i needed to get me even more pumped for friday
