Freddy Got Fingered is a classic. @irthesteve I think it deserves Shout Select status

 

If @irthesteve can get the studios to release the footage and finally get the director's cut released, I'll give him my first born.

 

I think the only walkouts I remember were during South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and Mother!

 

Freddy Got Fingered's biggest problem upon release was that it was clearly ahead of its time. It came out in 2001. Adult Swim/Tim & Eric/Internet humor/memes did not catch on yet.

It was released during the height of American Pie and Scary Movie popularity.

I genuinely believe it's a masterpiece. It's a $30 million dollar prank on a major Hollywood studio. Fox released it, so now I guess Disney owns the rights. They should just give it up to someone that will give it a proper blu-ray director's cut release. I would buy it day one.

 

An older couple walked out of "Midsommar" the moment the people jumped off the cliff and got their heads hammered in. That's the only one that comes to mind for me.

 

I loved Midsommar but I would not blame anyone for walking out of it lol that shit was intense

 

Pretty sure I remember us getting really close to acquiring it once, I don't remember the details though. @OhTheWater

 

When I saw Suspiria (2018) there were like 10 other people in the audience (all of them were old) and by the halfway point maybe 2 of them were left lol

 

I almost walked out of Hereditary because I thought I was having a panic attack but I stuck it out to the end. I'm glad i did lol

 

I almost walked out of We Need To Talk About Kevin because of how intense it got. I also had some personal stuff going on so I was already in a horrible mindset.

 

I would have walked out of We Need to Talk About Kevin if I had seen it in theaters.

 

The original Borat is now on Prime. Would like to rewatch it before 2 drops.

 

I rewatched it recently and I remember liking it far more when it first came out. I think there's been a lot of mocumentary style stuff since Borat and I think it made me realize on my rewatch just how fake this is.

So based on the trailer and the title one would guess the plot of this movie is him gifting his daughter to Mike Pence, right?

literally only logging this to say that i got to see a rough cut of this film in july, a fact that makes me a) cool b) important c) handsome and d) strong. it made me scream so much that i had a headache afterwards. i say this in a very good way.

i just took a big walk and wrote two big paragraphs about long-delayed comedy sequels and why i think this one really works, but it was dumb and overwrought and i wasn’t saying anything concrete about this movie (obviously) so, who cares. i thought (the version i saw) was fucking great. weird and outrageous and (maybe not purposefully) tender and bold, and i can’t wait until everyone involved gets to talk about the absolutely miraculous writing/production of this in like two months. i know there are plenty of you who don’t like me and are going to say this is just an entry i’m writing to brag that i saw borat 2 early. and that’s correct! it rules and i will tell everyone! i double checked the NDA, i’m allowed now! i told my mom! and she said “i don’t know what that is. why don’t you talk to your sister more”

 

Pretty sure he called into Dan Patrick's show today as Borat.

 

If anyone wants to see a great series Sascha was in last year, check out on Netflix "The Spy"; he plays a real-life Israeli who spied for the Mossad (Israel's CIA) inside Syria in the early 60's. His acting talents are really suited to this type of role; highly suggest watching

 

Also The Trial of the Chicago 7 is out.
