I know people didn't like Bruno, but that was honestly one of the most fun theater experiences I ever had. The audience completely losing its mind during "that scene" early on in the movie was a blast

 

Bruno is fantastic, maybe even more so than Borat. I think it skirts a finer line of bad taste/offensiveness than the latter and is that much more shocking. Last time I watched it was 3 Christmases ago with some family lol.

 

The urethra shouting "BRUNO" was one of the hardest I've ever laughed in a movie.

 

Holy shit I remember reading about that Pence speech being interrupted back in Jan or Feb

 

Bruno is wild and definitely edgier haha

Bruno was awful. The biggest problem is that it mostly failed to catch people being homophobic, but rather Bruno was being obnoxious regardless of sexual orientation. It lacked the biting political commentary that came from the reactions that Borat was able to get from people.

 

I mean Borat is definitely better, but I wouldn’t call Bruno awful.

 

.... I also kinda liked The Dictator. I haven’t seen it since theaters in 2012, but I remember laughing a lot.

 

In all fairness, I prob haven't seen the Bruno movie since it came out. I do remember there being some gold from the Bruno character on Da Ali G show though.

 

Bruno is the only movie I've seen that people got up and left the theater. It was during the milli vanilli scene

 

funny you say that, borat was the only movie i can think of where i saw anyone walk out. you don't need to think too hard about which scene that did it

 

I think I’ve said this in different threads, but when I saw Sausage Party in theaters an older lady walked out visibly upset by the orgy

which... you made it that far into it but that was too much?

Freddy Got Fingered birthing scene is the most walkouts I've ever seen.

 

I legit loved that movie when I watched it haha

 

I remember a few walkouts in The Master when Freddy imagines everyone in the room naked. It is pretty far into the room, so it seemed like you should just get through it.

 

It's still one of my all time favorite movies to this day. I legit feel like it's one of the best comedies ever made.

 

I think I saw some walkouts during The Lighthouse but that’s all I can remember paying attention to.

 

Honestly I didn't watch it till 2019 and it didn't seem quite as subversive or madcap as I imagine it did when it was released.

We also watched Road Trip the same night and I couldn't believe how much better Freddy Got Fingered was and how much better that movie treated the women characters? A main love interest with a disability who dreams about rocket science and fulfills her dream? How badass is that?
