Final update. Been really loving the Tad Williams books, the third was definitely the best and I just got around to reading the bridge book so I'll be starting on the next series soon. The Reddening was Adam Nevill doing what he does best, not my favorite of his but still excellent. Boy, did I have a tough time reading Clockwork Orange, I eventually got into it but that first act was pretty brutal to get through. Dread Empire is okay, not as good as Black Company, I don't know if I'll go back and finish. Corpus Chrome was great and showed the Zahler can write terrific Sci Fi too. Starsight was wonderful, I absolutely love this series. The Whisper Man was alright, if a bit too conventional for my taste. Warrior of the Altaii was awesome, Jordan was a mastermind from the get-go.

The main series I'm working through now is the Wild Cards series, which I'm just using GRRM's name for since he's the only author I'm familiar with and there's a whole bunch of them. It's super fun, obviously with anything with this scope of different talent there are going to be ups and downs, but for the most part it's up.

Finally read V for Vendetta, not sure why it took me so long, but yeah it's a masterpiece, duh. Been having a good time with Fatale, Brubaker always delivers. Speaking of Brubaker I finally got around to finishing Gotham Central which I also loved. The big one this month was Justice, which was absolutely phenomenal and one of the best comics I've ever read, right up there with Kingdom Come. With as much as I love Kingdom Come I can't believe I didn't realize this existed until now.

As for my favorites of the year, in no particular order....finishing the Aspect Emperor, Best Served Cold, Three Body trilogy, Long Price Quartet, Illiad, Illium/Olympus and Imaginary Friend.

 

Final update here. Stephen King reading is going to keep me busy for the next two years for the most part. Hoping to at least hit 60 books this year though.
