First album of new material in 8 years. Finally!

 

Had no idea this was coming out! Awesome. Only Mr. Oldham can appear on horseback in eyeliner singing about kimchi jars and have it make perfect sense. That video looks like it could've been filmed in my parents' back yard too, very KY

Any idea who's singing with him on "In Good Faith"?

Also wasn't the self-titled only six years ago not eight? Or was that not all-new stuff, I forget

 

I believe it’s Joan Shelley singing with him, who is amazing and has put out a handful of great records herself over the past decade.

edit: just reread it and it’s his first “official” release on drag city in 8 years.

 

yeah he just dropped the s/t off at some record stores in louisville and lexington, if memory serves haha. wasn't really a "release" i suppose

either way, awesome to be hearing from him

 

Man this album got such little attention, but I’m assuming it not being on streaming sites contributed to that. It’s another great addition to his body of work.

 

This is finally available on streaming platforms!

The new Superwolves album is incredible. I love Matt Sweeney’s guitar playing, and Will’s voice just complements it so well. Probably the best thing he’s done in a decade.
