Bonnaroo Music Festival - Manchester, TN June 8-11th Roo clues started to roll out! Hope to see some of you guys there!
Roo Clue 1 is Getter. Presale exclusive is Milky Chance. Joseph, Warpaint, The Weeknd, Chance The Rapper, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and U2 have also been confirmed.
Already bought my ticket, and pretty happy with the "headliners". Apparently U2's gonna play The Joshua Tree in full, which should be legendary...and the Weeknd's Starboy is great as well. Mix in some other high quality tracks and he can put on a great set. RHCP is ehh but that'll give me time to check out some other stuff.
I love RHCP, but they have ridiculously predictable and unadventurous setlists for a band with such a big discography.
Hell yeah! I've been following /r/bonnaroo for almost three years For sure. Bonnaroo always has a "legendary" act like Dead & Co., Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, etc. close out the festival on Sunday night
U2 playing the Joshua Tree in full? That seems so unlike them. They've always, for better or worse, been forcing as much of their new offering down people's throats regardless of if it's good or not. Guess they're finally coming to terms with the fac they're a nostalgia act.
What I'm hearing is our headliners are U2-RHCP-The Weeknd EDIT: Sorry, seeing now that someone's already addressed this. Looks like i'm not the only inforoo'er haha
Makes me kinda sad how far this fest has fallen off. I think the last time I went in 2013 was probably it's last great year. Still, U2's first American festival is a huge get. But everything else just looks so generic.
Damn, that is really really terrible, and I say that as someone both dying to go back and who would've had The Weeknd and Chance pretty high on any type of festival wishlist.
There should be some great shows, but agreed, the diversity and strength of the lower tier artists and bands is horrid
