saw him play this in 2017 and felt like I was dreaming. one of the best shows I've ever seen. can't wait to have an easy way to listen to this whole album
Amazing to hear it in better quality as well. Hazelton gets most of the (well deserved) praise but Liner is basically just as good in my opinion. That riff has lived rent free since I heard the song like 15 years ago. Whole EP really just has an unmatched vibe.

fun fact: Justin Vernon is a customer at my new job and bought a new bike from us last week after his previous one was stolen.
Was wondering yesterday when Justin will be releasing a new album - seems like there’s been no indication of anything definitive in a while
Made it down to Chicago for last Sundays set and out of the seventeen sets I've seen them play, it was top 5, maybe even top 3. 1. Easily the best version of Creeks I've seen/heard live. It's not the first time he did what he did with the "tuuuuurn around" section but this time it sounded like it was literally disintegrating. 2. Jenn absolutely slayed and I LOVE that they're giving her a second mic ran through the Messina for certain parts. 3. Justin's voice somehow continues to get better. 17 shows and you never quite know where he's going with the vocal melodies. It was my first p4k fest and I will make it a point to return every year considering it's only a 4 hour drive. It was extremely well ran and chill. Loved everything about it.
I’ve been wondering that too. I would take a Bon Iver record, Volcano Choir, or Big Red Machine. BRM had a whole second album in the can that has been sitting. Missing a new record from JV.
He has always said he will only write for Bon Iver if he has something to say. I am not too concerned about a long break as long as he is producing / working on other projects.
I've been wondering if the 4 albums=4 seasons signaled some kind of completion but of course that's a bit speculative
Just got back from seeing them, and it was fantastic. I've somehow only seen them one other time (Lollapalooza in 2009), so tonight was really special.
I can’t think of another artist whose live performance touches me more than this band. I will travel anywhere to see them. The only show that’s ever come close was Sigur Ros in ‘06.
I saw them a month or so after BI,BI came out and it was pretty incredible. Bumped into Justin smoking a cigarette behind the venue after hiding from everyone. He was stoked on my vintage green bay hat. Also caught Volcano Choir in Milwaukee to close out their tour. Sylvan Esso was the surprise opener and it was either right before or just after their debut came out. That show was special.
Caught em last night in Madison and must echo the point above about the current rendition of CREEKS he’s doing. I’ve only seen it three times but this one was a doozy
