yesss. the live performances are always so different from the recorded songs and I'd love to have them all collected somewhere
tis I! I don’t post often on Reddit in general, but I love how much JV interacts. Robin from a Fleet Foxes is super similar.
This is a lot of 22 A Million songs and whoever at NPR mixed it did an amazing job. I ripped it and made an album for myself so I could listen any time.
It is interesting how some people love live recordings and others loathe them. For me, I am all about the raw nature and passion/emotion on display in live recordings. A song can grow and evolve into an entirely different beast through a live performance I think I have a hell of a lot of the available live Bon Iver performances stashed away on my computer, but am so keen for more. I read somewhere they have recorded every show
all depends on the artist for me - some live recordings feel like carbon copies of the studio version, and I just don't need it. For a band like Bon Iver though, I want all the live stuff because of how they change up the arrangements and the vibes so frequently. (Portugal the man is another who I'd love to have live recordings for the same reason)
