I couldn't see it mentioned in this thread, but apparently Justin won't be touring this album, and sold/donated all his live gear in 2023. Bon Iver rules out touring new album due to anxiety Such a shame as Bon Iver shows were always good, but clearly doing what's right for him.
I still believe we'll get another tour sometime in the distant future. Or maybe at least a one off here and there. Feel like he has to acknowledge 22AM turning 10 next summer. I've seen this band 15 times. 15 is an awkward number to end on. Need at least 7 more please.
My biggest regret is not ever seeing Volcano Choir. What I would pay for tickets to a reunion set....
I saw both Bon Iver and Volcano Choir when I lived in Milwaukee. The VC show at the Pabst was one of my all time favorite shows.
in 2013, yeah? also one of my faves. i was sitting right next to justin's family, which i didn't realize until he shouted them out and they stood up next to me lmao.
i had the same thing happen with Adrienne’s family from Big Thief. didn’t even realize she was kinda from here.
22, A Million Sable, Fable Bon Iver, Bon Iver For Emma, Forever Ago i,i hey pretty great discography.
Agreed! It was fun to watch them getting so into the stuff they made. It reaffirms how much Bon Iver is about the art of it for Justin. I also really want to hear that full Speyside iphone demo because that sounds....really really good.
I’d take some live in studio stuff, just so we have some high quality stuff of this album in that setting but obviously I hope firstly that his anxiety improves and he can do a few shows, Boston Calling show had my top moment of any show I’ve seen, rain started pouring down right in sync with the most emotional part of Holecene, will never forget it
Yeah, no full tour. Just a handful of dates spread out. Maybe Summerfest to knock out Wisconsin, NYC, Chicago, LA.
Picked a copy up at the record store yesterday. Love that the album fadeout keeps going into the locked groove. Nice touch and dug the packaging! I was waiting to find the black/salmon version and glad i held out. Oh, and it sounds great. Really digging this one after kinda falling off after 22, a million
