I am so ready to be broken. I've got so much going on over the next 10 days but I might need to do a full discography listen (as if I don't do that at least ten times every year).
so Sable is the title? (per that first teaser and what appears to be a word starting with S in the title)
and this thing is pressed at 45 RPM, meaning it's either a short one-disc album, or it's a standard length spread across 2 discs
Just put on the 2023 Pitchfork bootleg I have. It's hard for me to believe that just over a year after I last saw him there we're getting new music and that's after many in the know said he was going to take a long break.
I bought a copy of To Cy and Lee within minutes of hearing PDLIF when the single was first released. I played it ALOT during the heavy lockdown periods of COVID. It was a very important LP for me during that crazy time and listening to it now still takes me back there in a good way.
I really liked that he was calling it "Season 5" (after supposedly making it through all four seasons with the first four records) and all the song titles were five letters. He also played "Things Behind Things Behind Things" (TBTBT) at a Bernie fundraiser.
My son said “Naeem” was his new favorite song today. Big moment for me. He’s 7, so he’s been very into Imagine Dragons, not exactly for me so I’ve been biding my time. “Fire in These Hills” off the new record is pretttty close to a Bon Iver knock off, played “Naeem” immediately after. Boom.
honestly it makes sense, given that something always comes after that comma. perhaps it's half of a larger album.
