Hey Ma is absolutely one of his best songs, no question. The rest of the album doesn't come close to matching that level

BIBI is still and will probably always be my favorite album just based on the time it was released and the age I was, but I reach for i, i far more

I keep trying to sum up my thoughts on i, i as it relates to the rest of the discography because I'm not sure of any sort of ranking, I guess this picture explains how i feel about it

The i,i songs i was "meh" about completely changed when I saw them live, like Jelmore on the album is whatever but it's an experience in person. Salem is another big one.

There is a Rhythm/Au Revior made me feel like everything was alright for the first time in a while. What a beautiful song. That's the one.

I definitely think i,i is better live, but that didn't make me return to the record much. I still like everything on it, but that's the one album of his that I still haven't really fully connected with.

BI, BI is definitely his best, best album of the 2010s still

The beauty of the There's a Rhythmn music video is something else. JV is not much older than me and both being Midwesterners who have flirted with - and him now having made the move away - it hits home so much.

you can really hear the mk.gee influence on ‘from’. it has that mk.gee riff.

during my first listen on Wednesday via fable spaces I obviously didn't have the tracklist handy and was thinking to myself "I wonder where the mk.gee song is" and as soon as i thought that the first note of the guitar kicked in and i knew exactly lol
