It's not my least favorite but I think it's one of the most overrated albums ever. I used to like a little more, but I don't like 50% of it. Good to know!!
Wow. Maybe I'm alone, but I found those two songs to be almost unlistenable. Love me some Bon Iver, but yeesh...
First listen: mmh, what's happening? Fifth listen: that's a YES. Wished for a crossover between Repave and BI, BI. Got a crossover between Jason Feathers and The Shouting Matches.
Couldn't even finish either song on a first attempt. Couldn't stand them. But then again, I'm one of the two guys in the universe that hates bi,bi
I don't understand how people aren't loving these. Both sound awesome to me. I can't wait to hear the full thing next month.
these are the single versions of new songs. really digging both of these now. 22 was my jam from first listen, 10 took some getting used to, but I might like it better now.
Is this Bon Iver's "Age of Adz"? I think I'm going to love this album. Also I mean this very jokingly, but the track titles and musical influences almost make this record seem like a parody/love letter to Pitchfork. You just know they're going to eat this up. But I will too.
This is fucking awful. I have loved everything bon iver has done but this is practically unlistenable...
Little confused - love the songs but not sure why he chose to release this as Bon iver. Justin was seemingly created a new monicker for each different genre he wants to dabble in. Why such a big change on this new album?
I'm starting to realize that Bon Iver is the only artist I can stand with autotuned vocals. Saw the stream of the entire concert and I'm going to really like this new album.
I'm not upset with Justin Vernon for taking Bon Iver in this more inaccessible direction, but I'm just worried I'm not going to be able to follow him there. I'll have to wait and see how the album treats me.
