Came here to post this. Holy FUCK.

It's crazy to say but this may be better than the version with The Staves. That last stanza had me SHOOK.

I still love the Staves version more, but his half yelling/half singing at the end is so great.

The way he manages to keep that amazing vibrato while literally yelling is insane

Man that version was really really beautiful. Those harmonies right before the last verse were incredible. And justins vocal in the final verse was in-sane.

The original HF is great, but I really commend The Staves for elevating this song. They really hit home those melodies. BI plays the song live with the brass section doing those parts, and I personally don’t think they could go back to the pre-Staves version of that song. Not that the original version is dull by any means, but it just sounds more complete now.

i agree. the staves version is the best thing. Also Justins "AAH" in that version is objectively the best one of all of them haha.

It’s like it was meant to be an a capella song from the get go.

You’re right though The Staves version is still the best. That “ahhhhhhhh” before Justin hops into the last part is earth shattering.

Just listened and enjoyed it enough. Not a fan of how they switched up the lyrics in some points. The outro is pretty cool.

BI is incredibly hard to cover. At least it was better than this shit
