Honest question, do y’all think Repave by Volcano Choir stands among the BI albums in terms of quality? I think so, but I’m pretty sure @Kennedy took a shit in my Cheerios about this.

Haha. I really love that Repave album but if I were to go rankbot and rank it against all 3 BI records I’d have them all ahead of it. That by no means is a bad thing though or a slight on that album. It’s phenomenal.

 

I agree with this. Yeah it stands AMONG the BI albums but if I had to cut one for the rest of my life I’d pick Repave.

The 1-2 punch of Comerade and Byegone is one of the best in the JV catalogue though.

I wil say that I wouldn’t pick any moment in music over the end of Almanac.

Some days I think I’d agree with you.

According to my last.fm I listen to Silent Signs more than Repave.

If I were to put a combination of songs together from his solo albums and DeYarmond work I could see myself being able to pick it over the BI stuff. Would hurt my brain tho.

 

I really hope this gets a proper release some day

 

Saw Volcano Choir in Milwaukee a few years ago. One of the best shows I’ve ever been to. Woods was something else.

Volcano choir is legit but doesn’t touch Bon Iver.
