And I have the "wish I was here" soundtrack only because of Heavenly Father. I'll have to try to get them all ripped.
That's the only one I have a downloaded copy of haha... and I've watched the YT video of the I Can't Make You Love Me/Nick of Time cover, which is brilliant of course.
Here's Wisconsin. It would've meshed perfectly with the original FEFA track list but I'm not sure if there's any song I would remove in its favor. Amazing nonetheless Haven, Mass - originally written for the self titled. Brackett, WI - played it last night and easily the most underrated BI song(after Lump Sum)
Somehow I'd never heard Haven, Mass. Searching for it ended up going through all the ancient stuff which I'd forgotten completely about:
That stinks. It’s still available on Apple Music. I only just discovered it a couple months ago while digging for more of his solo and non-album work. Really love that track.
A playlist of everything in order. Lump Sum is my all time favorite JV song and they absolutely fucking nailed it.
He sang lead for "Simple Man" which they used to do all the time. It was one of the best moments of the set.
Check this out. Bon Iver are playing the Hollywood Bowl in August, and it will be a collaboration with TU Dance, a dance company. Sounds like they might do multiple dates with it as well In the West Coast premiere of this unprecedented collaboration, Bon Iver and the electrifying contemporary dance company TU Dance come together with choreography by Uri Sands and new music by Justin Vernon. Bon Iver’s “rustic chamber pop with an experimental edge” (Pitchfork) and “hyper-modern balladeering” (The Guardian) has garnered Grammy® Awards and significant international acclaim, and Saint Paul, Minnesota’s nine-member TU Dance navigates complex themes of social change, drawing together modern dance and classical ballet with African-based and urban vernacular movements.
Yeah I'd love to see that. It will be a set of all new music. It was originally only supposed to take place at Palace Theatre. Tu Dance and Bon Iver - Palace Theatre I highly doubt it. I think that would be a disappointment for the majority of people. Justin has never been one to be a crowd pleaser though. Regardless, I hope this is streamed somewhere.
The string of London shows started last night. This set list is fucking incredible. Wow. Bon Iver Setlist at Eventim Apollo, London
Best mate going to London show tonight, he's tempted to take a day off tomorrow so he can recover from it with blankets, hot drinks and staring through walls. That setlist is amazing.
Nah I missed out, I couldn't afford it at the time then looked into buying a ticket for the shows Phoebe is supporting but also couldn't justify the cost of increased prices on other vendors sites unfortunately. So jealous. He basically does two separate sets plus an encore.
Played BI, BI in full last night to start the show and then played a re-worked 22AM list. Bon Iver Setlist at Eventim Apollo, London considering moving to London for the next week
Reading the early pages of this thread is such a treat. I know I bump this thread a lot but the hype for 22AM was out of this world and it's so fun to look back on it. Especially because when this thread was popping off I was sitting first row seeing it live. I'm listening to this now and I'm not sure if I've ever heard an album that flows as good. Every track flawlessly leads into the next. "The Glow pt. 2" is it's only rival in the that regard.
NEVER FORGET Ok I'm done now. But hopefully somebody who's never seen it will click. Pretty sure I remember @sophos34 saying this is the GOAT live session
