Not going to make a separate thread because not enough people care but super excited to return to Eaux Claires for the third time this year
@jazz man did that Dead tribute comp ever come out? was BI supposed to be on that? that thing seemed amazing on paper
It came out. Bon Iver isn't on it, but DeYarmond Edison does "Black Muddy River" with Bruce Hornsby and it's terrific.
That lineup is the first I've seen Mountain Man referenced since I saw them open up for Jonsi several years ago. They were so fucking cool.
Only now am I realizing they're running the sax through that crazy pitch machine to get that sound. Dang. That's nuts.
I'm so ridiculously excited to see Bon Iver at Coachella. I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl in October with pretty much the perfect setlist but I was extremely far away from the stage so I'm hoping to change that this time
i was about to say no way it's only 8 hours but i looked it up and whoa that's wild. detroit is further east than atlanta, that blows my mind i'm getting lawn tickets if you want to say hi
Honestly I didn't expect it to be that close at all If this pans out I'll have a solid 38+ hours of driving to see Bon Iver this summer (so far) lool
Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon Narrates UFO Documentary Trailer: Watch | Pitchfork i dont know what this is but i love it
Pretty sweet! I think I still prefer the album version though - it's my favourite track on that record, much of the rest of it didn't really do it for me to be honest. Some of the weird sound design was pretty cool, but I felt many of the other songs were too fragmented for my liking.
Oooh awesome to see they are changing things up live, not gonna listen to that since I'll be seeing them in about a week :-o
It's a bummer that BI is another artist/group who have gotten to the stage of "there are now only 5 cities in America"
I don't think he ever does Creeks exactly the same way twice, just based on live videos of it I've seen to date.
