This was an incredible week for music, and nothing moreso than this album finally coming out. It's everything I hoped it would be, oblique and beautiful in a way that no other musicians can quite capture. Really excited to have my impression of it evolve in time, especially as we get into the colder months.
Anyone have a take on 666? I perceive it to be about love.. but I haven't had the chance to sit down with that song yet.
I was so pumped for this weekend because of new Bon Iver and Regina Spektor coming out. I think I've spun this one 20 times and Regina once. She didn't stand a chance.
This needs more listens but it definitely draws me in. I adore Justin's lower register though, so 8 (circle) stands out the most!
Like the sound of Justin's mangled, manipulated, warped voice acapella is more beautiful than half the shit I've heard this year.
I really don't like the A Team part of Creeks for some reason. I adore the rest of the song but just can't deal with that bit.
This was handed out in Berlin. Looks 2 tracks didn't make the album. Think they'll probably be released as b-sides when they start releasing the singles on vinyl
This is very, very cool. Designing Bon Iver’s 22, a Million: An Interview with Eric Timothy Carlson — The Gradient — Walker Art Center
Finally listened for the first time without the shit quality leak that I overplayed... it really is (obviously) a totally different experience. What an album.
