Big fan of Strafford! I do like Creeks though. Plus being from Wisconsin, I've gotta give some love to the 715.
I should add too, I'm not the biggest Bon Iver fan, so I'm kinda passive to some of his stuff. My wife LOVES his records, so it's fun to watch her get hyped over his release. I don't mean to come off as pretentious or "meh" if that's how I sounded. He's great at what he's doing here and catches my attention more than someone like Francis and the Lights. In our household I'm usually the one dragging her to the record store and getting pumped, so it's fun to see the role reversed here.
Never thought much of this band. Listen to this the first time yesterday and haven't stopped. It is special.
Oh yeah! My wife's uncle actually lives across the street from him so it's always awesome going over there. Plus we love the Eau Claire area to begin with, so it's just one more cool thing!
Nice! Always interesting seeing how many people are so close when you're on the infinite Web! We're in North Central WI, but have tons of family all over the state.
I don't think anyone in music is able to move me quite like Justin Vernon does while constantly pushing his own boundaries and the industry's as a whole. He is a treasure.
Are all stores selling this with the Over Soon/Deathbreast extended single on white? That's all my local store carried, pretty cool bonus The song book is fucking beautiful
Prob my favorite record since Garden of Delete, would take something fucking staggering to dethrone this as my AOTY
nothing like crying your eyes out to "8 (cirlcle)" on your way home from the grocery store on a sunday morning haha
Did I read somewhere there is an additional track on the vinyl copy? I have the bonus track that came with that magazine in Europe.
This is quickly becoming AOTL. It's deepening and building bonds between me and my friends now. It's all we're talking about.
oooh, i'm assuming that's 86 (new song #2 from eaux claires last year). hoping i can score one of those papers when they go out.
Anyone know what they're predicting for first week sales? Judging by prior sales, I'm guessing around 125k.
