I can't link right now because I'm at work but last night? Justin played a few songs from the album. Along with Hazelton and "Babys" and "Come and go with me"

go check that shit out right now

That piece in the New Yorker amplified my excitement tenfold. Holy shit, I can't wait for this album.

I will definitely be playing For Emma later tonight.

If anyone hasn't heard much of the album yet, just wait until Friday to listen to 8 (circle). You're almost there!

For those who have listened to 8 (circle), what are your thoughts?

I personally think it's one of the stronger songs on the album. I perceive the song to be about grief and how Justin deals with such. Such a gorgeous song, and the brass section in the song is just mindblowing

I just listened to the live performance on Fallon and I liked what I heard - havnt heard the studio version yet, and I'll probably take Sefans advice and wait till Friday to hear it.

Unlike you Kennedy, I have zero willpower in waiting to hear the full album. I'm weak.

Oh yeah, to add to that, that live version on Fallon didn't do the song justice. As cool as it was to hear Anais Mitchell, The Staves, and Gordie singing the brass section, it by no means, sounds anywhere as good as the studio version or the Eaux Claires version

I really liked that there was no falsetto in the song on Fallon (from my memory at least)... I'm hoping to hear lots of Vernons lower register on this album. I definitely prefer it over his falsetto. I like the falsetto stuff - don't get me wrong, but his lower voice is way better for me

This is your album then. He really switches it up, adds nice variety and texture to each song. He uses his falsetto appropriately.

I feel you on that falsetto stuff though. I'm the same way with Matt Healy from The 1975. If he sang in his lower register, like in Antichrist, more often, I think I would like some of the songs better

The more songs I listen to as they are officially released really makes me realize how shitty the rip I had was. Everything sounds so much better.

I'm not a massive Bon Iver fan, but will always give his stuff a listen. I think i'll wait for a decent copy before listening to it.

That part where the vocoder distinctly comes in with the lyrics "You're old enough, you're holding up, it's your favorite now." UGH. So fucking great!
