I remember Fallon saying that when he performed Holocene on Late Night it was his favorite musical performance they'd ever had on the show (or something along those lines)
Gave the rip I have a listen or two but just compared it to the preview in Itunes and can tell my rip is subpar by a lot. Gonna wait it out for the real deal before getting really deep into this.
Confusing question maybe, but the guitar tone in 666 is really familiar and reminds me of a Dire Straits song, does anyone know what Dire Straits song I'm talking about? Edit: So Far Away by Dire Straits, just figured it out
Girlfriend is buying us tickets for Hammerstein Ballroom tomorrow morning as a Christmas present for me. So excited.
Anyone have luck with the NYC presales? I checked at 11 am for Hammerstein but they were all gone by then.
Did you register on their site to get the unique presale code? Girlfriend scored two of them with hers at 10:00.
Yeah I registered and got a code I guess I was just too late. The Times interview is cool. Embarrassed I never caught Perth = Birth and Beth = Death.
Justin Vernon shares the stories behind Bon Iver’s new album ’22, A Million’ also, this one All of the songs sampled on Bon Iver’s ’22, A Million’
This is why he's a genius. He's my kind of music fan. Voracious and omniviorous. Sampling a backstage video of Stevie Nicks warming up a deep cut? My hero
Yeah, 1 week is very manageable. I honestly can't believe I get to hear another Bon Iver record in just 7 days.
I feel like this record will definitely be one of my favorites of the year. Folky Vernon is great, but I've loved seeing him delve into the more electronic side of things over the past few years and can't wait to see what a full album of that will sound like.
You'll really love it! His new production style really elevates his craft. Super stoked to hear everyone's reaction
