After listening to this once all the way through, i have the same feeling I had walking away from the set at Eaux Claires. The first words out of my mouth were "I don't know how I feel about it" On my 3rd play through now and every song gets better with each listen.
ive really only listened to the singles released. i listened to half the stream at like 3:30am the night of the performance, but i fell asleep 20 minutes in and really remember nothing... So everything im going off of is based on the singles... but it sounds like this record is really going to challenge listeners and im excited for that. Bon Iver so massively popular, i like that this less accessible sound might turn casual listeners onto new things. Not only that, the new stuff just sounds so interesting to me.
listening to this now and I definitely felt like the live version was more powerful but I still love this. I'm going to be listening to this a lot.
I don't get the love for Bon Iver or Frank Ocean... I keep trying to like their stuff and just... nothing.
It certainly is, okay. Just was amusing when people drop into threads dedicated to highly relevant albums to voice their dislike without even trying to add or spark discussion. If somebody "doesn't get the love" for Justin and Frank, that's cool. Just highly unfortunate for them, haha. I'll try to help explain why people love Bon Iver and Frank Ocean if somebody can try and explain to me how anyone thinks Brand New is or has ever been a good band. ;)
It's insane to me that people actually think the way that guy does. The official video for "GOD" has like 2k dislikes and the comments are flooded with Satanism/Illuminati. Jesus Christ.
Not sure how that relates to my post, but yeah. I totally agree. i don't get what the though process is behind people like that, as well as other conspiracy theorists. I guess the idle mind gets filled with the DEVILLLLLLLLLL
