Honestly one of the coolest music videos I've ever seen. Great song, too.

One of my favourite songs off the record was released as a single for New Year's, here's I Can Hardly Speak:

Personally speaking this has really knocked me for six - I've been a fan of the band since just before I Had the Blues... but it's not until now that an album of theirs has been wholly immediate for me and made an instant connection. This did, and it only got better from there. Arguably their best record, with Let You Go arguably my new favourite Bombay song, but I'll see what you all think tomorrow. It's everything you've come to expect from them as well as possessing an identity and vitality all its own.

Perfect, that’s exactly how it came across in your review! I was pretty enamored with So Long, but it took a number of listens to get to that point. I enjoyed the other albums, other than Flaws tbh, so I’m very excited to hear that it’s their best. Each of the songs so far have the distinct BBC flair, but definitely bring the sound to new places.

As good as I find Flaws to be, it occupies an incredibly specific place in their discography and you need to be in the mood for it but it's a very enjoyable listen.

I held off on listening to all the singles after the first one. I was a little indifferent to that song but wtf this is amazing lol

their ability to meld hip-hop production into their style of indie rock is really flawless. No other band maybe outside of 1975 have achieved the melding of those sounds just quite as effectively.

(those flute samples on this )
