The second to last episode of this season was devastating, both because of the ending and because of how much the losing time/bender framework resonated with me.
I think one of my favorite parts of this show is that the seasons don't end with a bunch of bullshit cliffhangers that make you wait a year to see resolve, each season has a complete arc and the end is justified and work so well. They may tease things for whats to come but it doesn't change what's happened. That's how I want to be treated as a fan.
I starting watching this show about a week and a half ago because after getting to the halfway point of the Sopranos its mastery was making me neurotic and I needed something less serious and meaningful to put on. Just finished Season 3 and wow none of my preconceptions were founded at all lol. Incredible show. Episodes 4, 6, and 11 this season are insane.
Wow. Wow. The last few episodes of Season 3 are just outstanding. The last few minutes of the last episode were unreal. This show is beautiful.
I know it was brought up how PFT does so many voices on this, but I'd just like to draw attention to how fucking good his Mr. Peanutbutter That's One Word performance is. The man is such a talent.
I've always wanted to be an architect, but like a call girl at night. And a sales person during the day. So when are you an architect?
Ending of season 3 just started to get uncomfortably painful to me. Reminds me a lot of six feet under which I had to stop watching just because it treated its characters like such total shit. At least this show seems to have slightly more of a point behind all of it? Still felt a little excessive.
Been putting this off just because I feel like I wasn't ready. I'm glad I did. Strong season, I agree. The underwater episode might be my favorite. That ending, goddamn.
Also can't get enough of PFT. I've been listening to Comedy Bang Bang's best of and his reactions are always funny.
The more I rewatch these seasons, the more I am convinced that Mr. Peanutbutter is the best character on this show
Idk who my favorite main character is but Charlie Witherspoon is def my fav supporting character. Or the Patton Oswald penguin.
if it was season 1 I might've gone with Asian Daria. But I agee Mr Peanutbutter is probably the fan favorite. Or Todd. The scenes with their accountant are always hilarious and depressing
Vincent is also a contender. Right now I'd probably have to go with Officer Fuzzy Meow Meow because the scene with him and Diane pretending to know what her rights are and secretly googling it is still fresh in my mind. That had me laughing so hard. EDIT: also remembered the bic joke with todd and the chicken. So good.
Although I do love Rutabaga Rabbitowitz. Few things from this made me laugh harder than Rutabaga giving this big pep talk to Princess Carolyn and then the scene panning out from the building and him having this exchange: Rutabaga: "Carolyn?" Carolyn: "Yes Rutabaga?" Rutabaga: "I think Katie and I are getting a divorce."
