you miss out on Bojack directly calling how the ridiculousness of the situation, which is like half of what makes the character funny/work. otherwise, it's just kinda silly without BJ acting as the audience surrogate acknowledging how ridiculous it is
Even then the scene just kinda draggggedd on. That was one thing Bojack struggled with, sometimes it seemed like the show stuck with running gags beyond their expiry date just bc they were running gags. I'm the case with Vincent, I never felt like it was saying anything interesting after we got the point that Princess Caroline was lying to herself to be happy, and that scene just stretched that to breaking
There was a lot of unfunny stuff at the beginning that has slowly been phased out. It is a great example of a show with considerable growth.
Hollywoo Stars and Celebrities: What Do They Know? Do They Know Things?? Let's Find Out! gets me every time, especially since they NEVER shorten it
Season 2 of this show is far and away the best thing I've ever seen from any Netflix series, let alone most TV series.
"I had an attitude problem. Then I took a time out, and I thought about what I did. I wanted to be a big man, but sometimes the biggest thing a man can do is tell the truth. And the truth about me is...I... ...I... ...I love you."
