would recommended seeing it by the end of the 2nd weekend while there’s still a better chance at having a good crowd to watch with
the trailer for this played before Nope and it looks like some quality dumb fun. can't stand Pete though so I'm weighing it up
I really liked this but my streak of having terribly inconsiderate seat neighbors continues. Consistent whisper-speaking at essentially full volume like an hour in, to the point that my wife and I both said something to them.
Yeah, I mostly enjoyed this. Felt like it kind of sagged when it stopped being a mystery and more of a drama. But the ending landed really well. Great cast too.
My wife and I had a 3-movie stretch this summer like that. One packed screening we had a young kid watching a show or movie on their phone, and they kept raising the volume the louder the theater movie got. Someone finally snapped and yelled something and a woman went to the kid and told them to put it away. I'm usually pretty timid to say something because people are insane.
this was the most disappointed ive been in an A24 horror in some time. it was still ... fine, but i definitely was anticipating more
I’d give this a solid C+. The third act was great but that middle part felt like it dragged on too much. Acting across the board was a total treat.
i agree with the majority of the actors. a few of the key roles didn't really work for me though/felt miscast.
Had a blast with this, despite being the only one in the theater for my showing. Near Perfect satire imo
this feels more like a ill catch it on streaming someday than the theater but the trailer had me intrigued.
Caught this last Thursday and enjoyed it enough! Not something that will probably stay with me, but for an indie thriller that doesn’t really have any major left turns it didn’t really feel stale or anything
This was the most fun I’ve had at the movies this year for sure. Feels like the kind of thing that could become a classic for a certain generation of kids in high school right now.
