Would love if they re-pressed Bootleg Vol. 5 in commemoration of this, but I suppose we're getting a totally different Thunder Revue release that will cover a lot of the same stuff Either way I'm stoked for this
the sampler of the box set was great. awesome version of Hurricane, one of my favs of his. still gotta watch the doc
It’s pretty incredible. There’s a scene with Joni Mitchell near the end that’s basically the best thing I’ve ever seen, but really all the old footage is just stunning.
Trying to decide if I need something as exhaustive as this box set. I love the two discs of the Bootgleg Series one an absurd amount but this may be overkill.
this version of “a hard rain’s gonna fall” is an absolute all timer. mick ronson’s arrangement is fascinating and bobby is fucking ON ONE
Scorsese's willingness to engage and even enable Dylan's mix of fact and fiction is pretty interesting, assume he's doing it to illuminate what he believes is a larger point (which makes sense to me).
lol and they already have another bootleg series in the pipeline Bob Dylan’s Next Bootleg Series May Spotlight 1967–1969 Nashville Recordings
I’d be down for Bob to sing about the entire history of the 60s in a series of 10min+ epics as a corona project. “Hush little children, you’ll understand, The Beatles are coming, they’ll hold your hand.” Never change, Bob.
wolf man howl rub a dub dub it's a murder most fowl blackface singer white face clown also he basically just made a double Hurricane
